LILLIAN GRAY

ARTIST · EDUCATOR · CREATIVE HUMAN

I’m a professional artist based in Munich, creating bold, expressive work about people, identity and the stories we carry.

When I’m not making my own art, I teach — helping other people find their creative voice through weekly art classes, workshops and creative events.

ART SHOULD BE MADE, NOT JUST ADMIRED.

I believe creativity belongs to everyone.

Years of working as a professional artist naturally led to teaching. I founded my first art school in South Africa in 2016 and now teach from my studio in Munich.

My classes aren’t about copying me. They’re about discovering your way of making art.

MEET LILLIAN

I’m Lillian — artist, teacher, colour enthusiast and unapologetic art-history nerd.

I was born and raised in South Africa and now live and work in Munich. My practice spans painting, drawing, printmaking and mixed media, but people remain at the centre of almost everything I create.

Teaching grew naturally out of my own artistic practice. I love helping people stop worrying about whether they’re “good at art” and start making it.
