Join us for an exciting 6-hour hands-on workshop where you’ll learn the beautiful and accessible art of Cyanotype printing. This fascinating alternative photographic process allows you to create striking blue and white images directly from objects, plants, or photographic negatives. Discover the alchemy of light and chemistry as you craft unique works of art.

What You’ll Learn: This intensive workshop will guide you through every step of the Cyanotype process, from preparing your materials to developing your prints. You’ll learn about:

• The History and Science of Cyanotypes: Understanding the fascinating origins and chemical reactions behind this unique process.
• Preparing Your Materials: Coating paper or fabric with light-sensitive chemicals.
• Creating Photograms: Arranging objects directly onto sensitized surfaces to create shadow images.
• Using Negatives (Optional): Techniques for making photographic prints from digital negatives.
• UV Light Exposure: Harnessing natural sunlight or artificial UV light sources for printing.
• Washing and Developing: The crucial steps to reveal and fix your beautiful blue prints.
