Linear Thoughts, Circular Dreams
Inspired by the intersection of logic and imagination, my work is an exploration of the internal landscapes we navigate. This body of work, centered around the piece Linear Thoughts, Circular Dreams, investigates the delicate balance between our structured reality and the fluid, infinite nature of our aspirations.
My artistic practice has undergone a significant evolution, shifting from external observations toward a more psychological and universal exploration of the human experience. This vision is born from a fascination with how we reconcile the rigid, analytical structures of our logical minds with the boundless, cyclical rhythms of our subconscious.
In this collection, I confront the duality of the human psyche. Through my paintings, I use the figure as a vessel for these competing forces, weaving color and geometry directly into their being. The “linear” elements symbolize the logic, boundaries, and directness of our waking thoughts. In contrast, the “circular” forms and the use of gold leaf represent the ethereal, the sacred, and the recurring nature of our dreams. The gold disks act as symbols of enlightenment and the preciousness of our inner vision, floating through the composition like fragments of a higher consciousness. My use of a vivid, contemporary palette serves to bridge the gap between tangible reality and a modern, high-energy dreamscape.
The resulting body of work captures the power of cognitive harmony. The exhibition aims to portray the beauty found in the tension between structure and flow, ultimately celebrating the individual’s ability to hold both logic and wonder in a single, transformative gaze.
